First-time buyer questions
Your first home, answered.
How much home loan can I get?
It depends mainly on your income, existing commitments (your DSR) and the property. Send us your payslips or income details and we’ll work out a realistic range across different banks.
How much down payment do I need?
Commonly 10% of the price for a first property, plus legal fees and other costs. Some of those costs can be financed into the loan. We’ll show you the full cash you’ll need before you commit.
I just started working. Can I still apply?
Often yes, though banks look closely at your job type and length of service. We know which banks are more flexible for fresh graduates and new employees.
